LONDON
When most players struggle to back up after a red-eye flight, Kunal Sharma wrote a different script. The Woodford Wells batter scored his 3rd consecutive half-century-turned-hundred — 111 not out — at Hutton Cricket Club just hours after a 15-hour, 3-leg journey from Punjab to London.
The journey
Sharma left Jalandhar at 5:00 PM IST, reached Chandigarh by 7:30 PM by road, then boarded an overnight trip to Delhi at 10:00 PM. He landed at London Heathrow at 8:00 AM BST. No hotel. No recovery day. Straight to the ground, a quick shower at Hutton CC, and straight into a 50-over match for Woodford Wells.

The innings
What followed was pure intent. Batting through fatigue and travel, Sharma crafted 111 not out, clearing the ropes 11 times and finding the boundary 6 times. Woodford Wells vs Hutton ended in a draw, but Woodford secured more points and stayed on top of the table. It’s not a one-off. Sharma’s last 3 outings read: 50 out, 112 out, 111 not out — an average of 91. He’s doing it with a Fightor Cricket Bat, a willow that’s clearly matching his mindset right now.

Passion is what counts
Play cricket, enjoy life – that’s Sharma’s mantra, and he lived it on Saturday. Jalandhar to London, car to flight to crease, and still had the energy to fight till the end. The knock wasn, but the message was: commitment travels further than miles. With Woodford Wells leading the table and Sharma in red-hot form, opponents have a problem: how do you plan for a man who turns a travel itinerary into motivation. Scorecard: Kunal Sharma 111 (11×6, 6×4), Match drawn vs Hutton CC. Woodford Wells take more points.
